Animal Kingdom Lodge Dining Guide by Location

Animal Kingdom Lodge dining is split between two buildings. Jambo House has Boma, Jiko, The Mara, and several lounge or pool-bar options. Kidani Village has Sanaa, Sanaa Lounge, and pool-bar service; Disney currently lists a casual quick-service breakfast format at Sanaa. Choose the restaurant and building together, because crossing between Jambo and Kidani takes real time.

Boma

Boma is an all-you-care-to-enjoy buffet at Jambo House, currently serving breakfast and dinner. It suits mixed groups because guests can choose their own portions and pacing, but every person should still be included in the reservation count.

Choose Boma when the group wants a substantial meal in the building and enough time to enjoy the lobby or overlooks. Avoid placing it immediately after a distant park attraction without transportation margin.

Jiko

Jiko is Jambo House’s signature dinner restaurant. Treat it as a longer meal with current pricing and policies reviewed before booking. Check Disney’s current dress and cancellation information rather than relying on older trip reports.

It is a better fit for a deliberate resort evening than a rushed park break. Parties staying at Kidani should allow for the building transfer in both directions.

The Mara

The Mara is Jambo’s principal quick-service option. It is the most flexible choice when the party needs food without anchoring the day to a reservation. Mobile-order participation, menus, and arrival windows should be checked in My Disney Experience.

Kidani guests should not assume The Mara is a quick elevator ride away. Room location and inter-building movement can make an in-room breakfast or current Kidani option more practical.

Sanaa

Sanaa is at Kidani Village and overlooks Sunset Savanna. Disney currently lists lunch and dinner table service and a casual breakfast operation. The view depends on daylight, animal movement, table location, and operating conditions; a reservation does not guarantee a specific table or animal sighting.

Jambo guests should plan the transfer. If Sanaa is the main dining priority of the stay, Kidani may be the more convenient building.

Do you need reservations?

Disney recommends advance reservations for select restaurants. The standard window currently allows eligible resort guests to book a stay of up to 10 nights beginning 60 days before arrival, while other guests book up to 60 days ahead. Availability varies.

Use the Disney dining reservation guide and read the checkout cancellation terms. Quick-service and lounge plans should still have a backup because operating hours and capacity can change.

Fastest flexible meal at Jambo: start with The Mara.
Buffet for varied preferences: consider Boma.
Long special-occasion dinner: consider Jiko.
Kidani destination meal and savanna setting: consider Sanaa.
No building transfer: choose within the building where you are sleeping.
